Adeel Akhtar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). His research interests include nonlinear control, geometric control, hybrid systems, stochastic control, physics-informed neural networks (PINNs), and their applications to aerial and ground robotics.
Ph.D. Candidate
Hamza Mahmood’s research explores control theory through the lens of differential geometry, with a current focus on the geometric control of stochastic dynamical systems.
Ph.D. Candidate
Hamza Tariq’s research focuses on nonlinear control, optimization-based control, and safety-critical autonomous systems. He is particularly interested in feedback linearization, control barrier functions, trajectory tracking, path following, and decentralized coordination of robotic systems.
